Stelo is a puzzle whose pieces are polymultiforms (more precisely polyiapons).
The polyiapons are polymultiforms obtained by juxtaposition of several triangles as the 2 red below (these 2 triangles have the same area).
The blue polyiapons are biiapons ; the yellow ones are triiapons :
The 12 triiapons are the pieces of Stelo ; they cover area of 36 unit triangles.

of Stelo ; if you have Polyspidrons, take off the 12 trispidrons without head (they are the 12 triiapons of Stelo).

Moreover, every shape of Stelo
has area 36 ; if we double its dimensions, we obtain a shape with area 144 (36 x 2²), that is the area of most of the challenges of Polyspidrons : every shape of Stelo can become a challenge of
Polyspidrons.
